Just some thoughts about London. So so many people! It seems as though the whole world lives in London and they ALL take the subway. Some trains were as full as the Vancouver ones during the Olympics. I hears a stat as to how many people they transported in a day but forget it. It was just unfathomable! Walking down the streets you were forever bumping shoulders. Way to many in our personal space. Of course had nothing to do with my weaving. It also seemed as though the entire city was undergoing restoration. I am sure it has probably looked like that for years and will continue for many more to come.
Every where we looked the was scaffolding and cranes. I heard it said once Vancouver will be a lovely city when they are done with it. Well London looks like it is being redone. Seems to be a lot of arab influence here too. A lot of building look like they are like the ones in Dubai. Old and new side by side.
The architecture was absolutely amazing. How they built those buildings so many years ago looks impossible. The gargoyles, the ornate spires its just incredible. All the old churches, many that are used for anything but a church. Seems to have been left behind here. Too bad. Most you can see the dedication used to build them. It is such a shame.
We have had fun but are both more than ready to get back to our hum drum lifestyle. At least for a while anyway!
So far no big thrills today but we will keep you posted as to where we are during our travels home.

London
Back home
We have started the long trek back home. Dad is such a keener. Cannot drop our bags for 45minutes. He IS such a keener BECAUSE his travelling partner has made a lot of mistakes over the years. WAY better early than late. Time and plane wait for no one (except staff!)
Bus tour
So the hop on hop off bus is $140.00. Just NUTS! There is another bus that doesnt stop but gives you a two hour tour of the city for $16.00. Guess we are doing the $16.00. Tante Liz was busy this afternoon anyway, so we will have tea and dessert now and stop by the driveway on our tour. No sense wasting time seeings as it is our last day anyway. Cheers for now!
London
People people people! Just can not believe them all. All busy going someplace! Pur adventure started this morning by having the subway line we were to take breakdown. That easy. “Sorry, this line has had a power failure. Please find alternative routes!” Yes just that easy! Talk about a mess! About an hour later we have made it to our first destination of the day!
Curt has the attitude that I have watched too many TV series. It is the British ones I love! Now we have seen a lot of the places where these shows have been based! Poplar home of Call the Midwife, danced sround the stones and saw the memorial from Outlander, now we are off to Mr. Selfridges Department store. Of course it is called Mr. Selfridge! So there are some grest suggestions should you want to watch some quality BBC, Have not dared to ask to go see where Downton Abbey was located but we sure have seen some estates where it could have happened!
Still no luck with pictures though. Hope that clears up soon!

Getting hot
For the first time ever as I was doing the last post my i pad said it must cool down! The sun was just beating on it. So I listened and here sre the rest of the pics.
When we were through we saw the single track sign! Inser any curse word you would like here, because I said them ALL! Some I made up myself!
Listening to garmin
Whilst trying to get from one village to the next we encountered a one lane road that at one point dad actually had to use first gear to make it to the top of the hill. NARROWEST ROAD WE'VE EVER EVER EVER SEEN! At one point we were climbing such a steep grade the road just DISAPPEARED!!! UNBELIEVABLE! Hope the pictures do it justice.
The welsh seem to dislike vowels. We are in the town with the longest name! Wont even bother trying to spell it. OR say it as a matter of fact. Found a sign with the translation underneath! Hope it all fit on the picture!

Gretna Green once more
The maze had two separate entrances. Story goes if you find each other you were meant to be. Giving my sense of direction I was VERY LEERY to even try. We did it though! Then made it out again the the opposite exit! Boy was I happy!
T
Kind of had a day hanging out in Scotland in the area where we first began our journey. It's been a great time with a lot of adventures.
Tonight we are going to try out the Bingo seeings as it is just down the street from our hotel. Maybe we will get rich. We will let you know.
