Drogheda
The political turmoil is just breaking my heart.
The next generation can change it! Knowledge is power! Religion, politics don’t matter. Peace
Is all that matters. It’s absolutely heartbreaking! A unified Ireland is the only hope! So so sad
Even though I thought a few days ago were
Our last few days, now we are on our last few
Days. Good thing I have your dad with me! I
Would be So lost! Literally! Directions and departure are huge blocks! Anyway really enjoying our time here. Lovely city. Dad is getting ready foran important horse race. Me sudoku has my attention.

Steps
Getting our steps in one way or t’other.
To me they looked like the backyardigans but they were called something else. Forgot to take a picture of the name.
Armagh
Coming to the last days of our trip. Can honestly
Say we have seen a lot of Ireland. One of our
Favourite cities was Derry. Although we were
There last weekend we thought we might go
Back. Very sadly violence and riots erupted there last night. So sad that violence is such a real
Fear here still. Our experience here after
Speaking with locals is they all seem to want a united ireland. Such a shame they must still deal with political unrest. Instead we found the beautiful city of Armagh where we will spend a few days. Lovely so lovely

It is so decorated with antiques EVERYWHERE.
I’m going to try download some just because
They’ll be much better than I could ever take.
And you guys thought we had so many clocks!
Yes this is the bathroom!
So many things hanging from the ceiling
Stairs that don’t reach the floor
My favourite. An actual carriage hanging from the roof.

For Maya and Eli and possibly Isaac
First Isaac , we sure hope you are feeling better. It’s just no fun to be under the weather but Opa and gramma are thinking about you all the time!
Don’t know if you know guys but C S Lewis comes from Belfast. There is a square here named
For him. I hope you can see the picture. They tellus the real wardrobe is there! Don’t know if we’llhave time for it but we did see the building.
And just for tradition here’s the token “selfie”!
Love to you all!
Belfast
So we didn’t get everything done today. Hoping we’ll get another night in our hotel and finish off tomorrow. That of course is all up in the air at the moment but we’ll see. Such a fantastic city!
So much history! The boys at the pubs were just talking too much so we missed a few buses! Shame on them! Guess it’s not every day they
Get friendly Canadians! Ha!
Still Belfast
Toured the city a bit. After Gramma has a glass of wine we’re off to tour the place where the
Titanic was built. The architecture here is so amazing!
Kind of the same shot of then and now.
Inside hotel Europa
Bobby Sands
Parliament buildings that don’t get used because they can’t get along well enough to even have a session!
Belfast
Dad changed his hat so as not to be politically incorrect. Thinking a Dublin hat would not be so
Welcome in Belfast. Just saying.
Back at the Crown Bar
We’re back here for breakfast and it’s a whole lotquieter. They’ve got these little privacy booths. Looks more like a confessional. Guess we can killtwo birds with one stone!
Funny bars are all open but they don’t serve liquor till noon. Guess they make their buck however they can.
So so cool!

Belfast
So I guess you’ve figured out that I think I may have figured out the blog. The place we’re now in is absolutely amazing! According to the sign thehotel Europa was the site of 50 bombings in the 1970 s yet survived. We don’t hear much of a
War in the 70 s yet here it’s very recent history
What a history!
Belfast
Although we didn’t expect to be here for a few
Days, here we are!
I guess we’ll check it out! Should be exciting!
Ireland pictures
Having a great time just wandering around. Havespent a lot of time in Northern Ireland. So cold and windy. We have stayed close to the ocean fora number of days but to walk it is so cold. Dad has that exercise app on his phone. We’ve done I’d say an average of 8-10 kms a day! Quite
Something for us non hikers. A lot of that has been up or down hills and not just small ones either. What a beautiful country!
Found Pumba!
Meant so much to be right in this spot!
These pics are mostly from Derry
Time out!
Got an unintentional time out yesterday. Dad left to go get a snack at a gas station yesterday and as he walked away he locked the car while I was texting. COULDN'T GET OUT!!!! I had the phone so couldn't even text him! Had to wait for him to figure out I wasn't coming. Yeah even though it took a few minutes, he did return! Learned something new!
