Back in the saddle again.
After a few very rough days, we are back in the saddle again and ready to continue our vacation. We left behind Mokkum, and are now I. The village of Stavoren. We had such a beautiful drive here along the dykes. It was so cool. The gps told us it was 38 Kim's but would take us 45 mi Utes. We thought how is that possible, but we're sure glad it took us along this route. The sheep and cows were so close to the road. Some without a fence. It was so beautiful. So here you will see some sheep, no they are not all the same ones, they were just too cute to pass up taking a picture of.
Lemberg
That should say Lemmer. Now that we are back at it your refresh button should work. It's easier to let you know moment by moment what we are doing rather than day by day. We are stopped for lunch in this cute little town. Croquettes, frickandelen, wine and non alcoholic beer all in one stop. Also beautiful sights and sitting at an outdoor cafe. Of course free wee fee is also mandatory. These are a few of my favourite things......so fun! Also some fun for your dad.....looking for funky shoes!
Locks
Saw the real life workings of a sea lock. We first watched a huge ship pass through but couldn't notice the raising of the water. Later a smaller boat passed through and we were able to speak with him. He told us that the water raises or lowers ninety cms depending on the direction they were going. Very very cool

Today did not happen
Because of issues occurring and the. Resolved, we are just going to pretend today never happened. Regardless we are at a beautiful hotel on the beach in Mokkum. It is the birthplace of the Huismans grandmother and my grandmother. It is a beautiful place. Enjoy the picture and the adventure will continue tomorrow. Today is just a write off.

Scheemda
Had a wonderful time with Nico and Jannie. We toured so much country and saw so many sights it was incredible. We first stopped and watched some Foreman challenges which We likened to the Mine rescue competition except for fire fighters and first responders. We then toured the country side and saw many sights. We also visited a very old village from 1792. It is so incredible to think back to that time and how things were.
It looks like London is off the list. Although only four hours away, it will be close to $450.00 before we take in the price of hotel rooms. To drive would simply be out of the question because they drive on the right hand side so everything would be unfamiliar AND backwards. So we'll save that for another time.
Enjoy the pictures.
