It's back

So we're back in Frankfurt. Today for lunch believe it or not are Dutch wieners, saukeraut and kartoffel. Solid would be in German heaven! Won't take a picture because once is enough of that! Anyway a shorter layover here. Relaxing break and then back on the plane.

Back to the church

Did a city city tour by bus today. Saw all the sights. What a city! Stopped at the church for lunch. That huge organ played by one little keyboard. Just amazing. That organ was played by George's Handel. He wrote the Messiah. Unbelievable!
Maya. Was in a toy store today. They have calico critters but they call them something else.

The church

The church is really a bar. Pipe organ, stained glass, becks and ginger ale, and we're set.

Dublin

Had a pretty stress free day today. Rode on a double decker bus into the city. We're here for two days. A neat thing we saw today was the big needle. Knew I would never get a picture of it but they have one hanging in the room so I took a picture of that. Also found a pamphlet of that church turned into a restaurant etc. The other pictures are of that. Those Catholics, if they can't make money from the church why not turn it into a gathering place? Hey if it works. Anyway about to retire for the night so until tomorrow.

Dublin

Made it to Dublin and the car arrived safe and sound! Dad is very relieved to no longer have to be driving but he did very well. I didn't realize he was so stressed. He sure didn't show it. Those first few days on the narrow narrow roads, I was pretty much a basket case, but your dad handled me and the car very well. I did get used to it and we would never have seen the country we did without the car. (After reading that part to dad it almost put a tear in his eye). Regardless it is nice to just play real tourist now. So looking for the hotel a guy told us it will just appear out of no where. Thought we had made a wrong turn but sure enough after travelling very curvy roads, there it appeared out of no where just as he said.
Realized it was 2:30, and we still had not eaten so made that part of the itinerary. Found a hotel, dropped off the car, the. Took a city bus back into Dublin where we are right now. What a trip! It's been amazing. ST on the top of a double decker bus just like you see in the movies. So so cool!

Church

So church was amazing. Very small, at most 150 people. It was a female pastor. She told us it would probably be longer than we were used to. Not much really. Close to an hour and a half. It really was nice. All songs we knew, a very short sermon, some professions of faith, and Lords supper to a hair different than we do. The kids got grapes. It really was nice.

It's very cool. All of the crosswalks are marked with ribbed markings for the hard of sight. You can't miss it.

Castle in Althane

More of a museum, but was fun regardless.

The Franciscan Friary

ANother block, another church, but this time a friary. Incredible!

Church

Visited a Catholic Church. The money in that place. A sorry time in our church was when Luther got rid of the confessionals. There is a picture of one up close and personal. The statues and stained glass are just amazing. Many pews have personal names on them. All the statues and glass donated by people yet they want thirty cents for the candle you light for a loved one.

Sean's bar

This place has the claim of fame being the oldest bar in Ireland. Made the Guinness book of world records. Maybe because they serve so much Guinness! Hard to see all of the artifacts, but look closely, kind of like a picture search!
