Den Hague

.!Today we spent the day touring the stalls of a huge market.  It was really exciting to see all of the booths.  What was interesting however is how the booths catered to immigrants.  Not really sure what type of immigrants they were however the ladies dressed as though they were from Iran or Iraq.  The women all had their heads covered but it was a step down from burkas.  Their faces were showing.  There were also many men in long loose garb.  There were many stalls that catered to women's head dress and dresses that they would wear.  Many of the stall owners were "barking" their wares.  That part was like the market I remembered.  I tried to buy some ethnic Dutch material but to no avail.  One stall keeper informed me that that didn't sell anymore.  It was more along the lines of sheer in plain colours.  I did find some however and have some projects in mind for that.  I hope to make some Dutch outfits for anyone should the occasion arise.
Your dad seems to make animal friends no matter where we travel.  This time it's ducks.  They seem to come around at about 6:00 pm and he has some treats waiting for them.  Tonight they got their treats and then seemed to fall asleep right here.  It's been about fifteen minutes since he gave them something and they have not left.  They seem to be snuggled in for the night .  Really quite cute.
Well I didn't take too many pictures today since I didn't want to get anyone in the picture who didn't want to be so enjoy what I did take and well try to post again tomorrow.  We hope to do Keukenhof and maybe take in the ever famous flower auction.  We'll see what happens when we wake up.
Oh yeah.  Your dad found the sock man, it will give extra cushioning for packing he says!

Frizzante

Emily and I once bought a delicious bottle of wine.  Try as we might we never did find it again.  Just picked up a bottle at random at the grocery store only looking for the cheapest of course.  After tasting it I thought wow this is nice.  Then I read the bottle.  There it was in white on black.  Frizzante!

Noorwijk

Saw fields upon fields of beautiful flowers. Hope the pictures show some sense of what we see.  What you will not get is the smell that we do.  Absolutely amazing. There are also some extra pics of Delft.
Oh and believe it or not you can buy READY MADE gehakballen!
This was a double decker car park!  CRAZY!

Delft

Fly away flag

Funny the people you encounter at the oddest times.  Opened my car window to enjoy the smells of the flowers, not thinking about how the closed window was keeping the flag in tact.  Well thar she blew off the window into the street.  Dad pulled over right away.  The man driving behind us stopped in the middle of the street to pick it up for us.  Of course this turned into a wonderful discussion of how this gentleman had lived in Vancouver in the days of Bill VanderZalms reign.  ðŸ‡¨ðŸ‡¦
Pressed a button and guess what I found!  Might just come in handy!
