.!Today we spent the day touring the stalls of a huge market. It was really exciting to see all of the booths. What was interesting however is how the booths catered to immigrants. Not really sure what type of immigrants they were however the ladies dressed as though they were from Iran or Iraq. The women all had their heads covered but it was a step down from burkas. Their faces were showing. There were also many men in long loose garb. There were many stalls that catered to women's head dress and dresses that they would wear. Many of the stall owners were "barking" their wares. That part was like the market I remembered. I tried to buy some ethnic Dutch material but to no avail. One stall keeper informed me that that didn't sell anymore. It was more along the lines of sheer in plain colours. I did find some however and have some projects in mind for that. I hope to make some Dutch outfits for anyone should the occasion arise.
Your dad seems to make animal friends no matter where we travel. This time it's ducks. They seem to come around at about 6:00 pm and he has some treats waiting for them. Tonight they got their treats and then seemed to fall asleep right here. It's been about fifteen minutes since he gave them something and they have not left. They seem to be snuggled in for the night . Really quite cute.
Well I didn't take too many pictures today since I didn't want to get anyone in the picture who didn't want to be so enjoy what I did take and well try to post again tomorrow. We hope to do Keukenhof and maybe take in the ever famous flower auction. We'll see what happens when we wake up.
Oh yeah. Your dad found the sock man, it will give extra cushioning for packing he says!
Not surprised dad with his pets!
