Back in the Home Land
It's 3:00 a.m. and we are safely in our hotel room. Dad was very excited to turn his cell phone on only to find out it was dead. It is now happily charging so if you want to get ahold of us in the morning feel free. Our flight was over an hour late, but we managed to sleep quite a lot. When we woke up there was less than an hour to go. That's the way to fly. We'll talk to you all tomorrow. We take the evening flight to Smithers so that will give us time to get our gears together. Who knows might even have some time for Poker this time.

Saying goodbye to the Dominican
Our internet should expire at any moment so we bid you adieu until we reach Vancouver. Our plane will land at 1:20 AM!!! Yes you read that correctly. We'll talk to you again I guess Saturday morning. We'll then fill in all the blanks of the stories we've forgotten.

Last full Day in the Dominican
Don't know if you can really see this but these are just like the cigar press that Aunt Marg showed us at her house.
Our holiday is wrapping up soon. We spent the last day of excitement here. We toured the countryside, visited some really cool places along with about 500 other people, yet our group was about twenty. Pictures speak louder than words. Next door I can hear someone speaking very loudly on skype in German so it is very hard to concentrate. I'll post more later when there is less interruption. One big thrill I forgot about yesterday was I dyed my hair with my contacts in. WOW! I could actually see what I was doing! It's really funny but I can't read a lick with them out without dad's glasses. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.
yesterday

Wednesday p.m.
So I've been thinking about a few things and just thought I would share. Being phylosophical. Anyway that story about the Tower of Babel. God sure knew what he was doing when he did that. Funny how hearing all of these languages and not being able to understand them is starting to wear on my nerves. Then I thought, yeah that's probably why He did that! Anyway, another random thought, while we were on a boat yesterday there was this young black man who was in charge of hoisting the anchor. This one Russian said to him Come on n****** let's go!" I couldn't be sure I heard him right or I would havesaid something for sure, but I'm quite sure he did say it. First experience ever hearing that in real life, (if that's what he said). Made me wonder if just being black if they heard that more often. Regardless it did appaul me. Anyway, took some pics this morning, and, although I'm really feeling for all of you in that deep freeze, I too will be one of you soon, so don't be too jealous. Reality will rear it's ugly head soon. Love you all
By the way
Anyone have any ideas as to why the pictures are posting twice? I'm really not doing it intentionally but if you've got some direction I'd welcome it.
Not sure again of the date
Another sunny day in warm Dominican Republic. The days and nights just seem to run together. Our vacation is coming to a close but for some they're just over the hump day. Two weeks has been such a great rest. We haven't had to jam pack full our days with a day here and there to relax. It's been more like relaxing with a little excitement in between. If there are any special request of something you guys would like, please let me know, otherwise it will be the faithful old standby of T-shirts. Shopping here is exhausting. They're all bandits. They say the national sport is baseball but I beg to differ. It seems to be how much money can I get from these crazy tourists whilst still making the sale. Dad the good poker player he is, takes their bet and usually wins. That is unless like he experienced this morning when his wife is around. The offer the young man made seemed to be fair to me and stupidly I said as much. I then shamefully walked away, and let your dad deal with it. He then continued the poker game and won, all be it at a higher price than what he had expected. Oh well, such is life. We don't have many new pics to post as there was not too much that happened yesterday. Today should be different. Well blessings of ours, enjoy your day, and if you check later there should be more to read.

Saona Island
Today was quite an adventure. We were up at six to leave at seven for a day excursion. To make a long story short, we finally arrived at the docking station at noon. Then a speed boat ride to an island where the sand was to be so white as you could imagine. When we arrived there we were once again accosted by vendors selling their merchandise and women selling masages. It is quite nice at this hotel they don't allow vendors on the beach. Near is a market but the sellers are so aggressive, you just get turned right off. Today dad went to ask how much for towels and the lady actually grabbed him. He told her in no uncertain terms that the conversation ended right then and there. Regardless we arrived there at about 12:30 and would depart again at 2:45. We were back at our room at 8:00. It would have been less stressful staying here at the beach. It was nicer afterall. We did get to see some flying fish again and that alone made it all worthwhile. They are so amazing! What a sight! It's about time to turn in once again, so until tomorrow, I bid you all adieu.

More pics again!
So beautiful seeing wild peacocks! One male and five or six females. Must have been sister wives! Dad humoured me and we went to a Seafood Restaurant. Absolutely delicious. He actually enjoyed his dinner of Beef Tenderloin. The cute statues everywhere are awesome. Enjoy your evening, we're off to the nest. Early morning tomorrow. Talk to you later. Love to you all.

Have to be up at 6 a.m. though. Could be touch and go. Anyway, maybe post more later but enjoy the pictures.

Wonderful day in the sun!
We had a lot of fun today. Actually tried tennis together. What a hoot! The pictures show it. IOne shows my breast augmentation all be ity with tennis balls regardless, we had fun. HOT!! We both lost alot of sweat. It was just like the biggest losers with Anna K (I won't even try to spell that one) Your dad finally tried juggling. That was hilarious! We are both getting very brown now. Good thing we have to go home in a few days, or we might be unrecognizable.
Dad is now getting into reading a book. There goes the Outsiders as his favorite read book!
There is such a beautiful golf course here. We actually met a couple who invited dad to join them if there was room on the course. Sadly there wasn't but we're meeting up with them later tonight. Funny thing though, there name is Diggins. Imagine that, Dekens and Diggins, just hope the Duggars don't show up too!
Anyway hope you guys are doing well, hope you're reading all of these updates and that it is keeping you informed of what we're up to.
One more funny story..... We're just back from the pool, your dad is out reading and I come to join him. He says Trix before you sit down, grab me a beer will you? I go grab him one of his beer and then he says "See you WILL do it! Well he got me BIG time! He said you really ARE a good dutch woman! I ask for a beer and you run and grab it! Well yeah, in my defense it was a NEAR beer! I'll get THOSE anytime. But yeah he did get me hook line a sinker! I pride myself on not being the subserviant wife he wants, but who knows after 28 years, I MAY have just turned into one! It was funny regardless. WHODATHUNK!!! Who knows Chels and Keri, you just might find yourselves doing the same thing!
Sunday January 15, 2012
Woke up to the rain pouring down thisw morning. All of a sudden the panic of What are we going to do now? The sun has now come back so all is right with the world once again. We explored this resort some more last night and have seen it's more like a small city than anything. So many different sections. We seem to be in the quietest part which is fine with me. We had requested that everything be close, and it is. No problem there. We'll see what the future holds for us today! Wishing you all a good Sunday. There is also a chapel here, but it's Catholic. I can do without that thanks anyway. Still haven't heard from that CRWM so I'm about to give up on that notion. Quite disappointed actually. Guess realistically they just want the Ministry Shares. Go figure.
