Monday

Good morning to all.  Looks like another bright sun shiny day.  We have had gorgeous weather here.  Every day has been beautiful.  No matter what you can never buy weather.  It has been so beautiful and warm everyday.
Yesterday dad really enjoyed his football game.  He was among the minority but his team sauce to win what looked like almost impossible so he was pumped to say the least.
I've told you before about the soccer tournament happening here.  I was talking to some coaches and they said they would give me tickets.  Turns out they're about $10.00 for three games.  Well he brought the tickets.  Couldn't believe it, but we didn't go.  We really wanted to see Canada vs Cuba. That was the big plan for today, but last night we were told Canada plays in Kingston which is five hours away.  Well have to see what the the holds to see if we actually make it there or not.  Dad has a play date with a golf course so I'm not to crazy about not going with him along.  Guess it's minute by minute today.
We also went to church yesterday.  What an experience that was.  It wasn't a church service it was a full blown REVIVAL!!!  Something that I've never seen before.  We stuck out a bit being seated in the front row.....that and the colour of our skin.  We seemed to be a little on the pale side.  Nevertheless it was very cool and God was working in that little church.  The power even went out for a while but that was okay with them.  While the preacher (female no less) preached (read. Here SCREAMED) the music kept on playing and the drums kept on going .....with drum rolls no less, it was quite something.  Florence could no longer contain herself and finally brought out the camera.  So if it works to gt some pics from her I'll try that. She even took a video.  It was so cool to be able to experience that.  Not only sitting in the front bench but being surrounded by some pretty charismatic okay VERY charismatic Christians while we sat there like the good stauch reformers that we are.  The ladies all wore hats and their Sunday best.
The preacher was talking like he was trying to make a new movement.  He was trying to convince people that it doesn't matter what day you have a funeral if people respect you they will come.  Doesn't have to be on a Sunday.  It could be any day of the week.  From what I understood, the embassy likes to have funerals only on Sunday's.  It thought that was quite interesting so some day I'm going to have to find out more about that.
If you're still reading thanks.  If not I guess you'll never know what you missed.
