The gecko

Returned to our room last night and saw a cute little gecko in the hallway.  We oohed and ached and went into the room only to find in our horror the tricks man himself above a light.  Too much for this gramma.  Off to find "maintenance".  He told us they really like the lights because bugs are attracted to the light.  Well he was right!  There he was in all his glory.  The maintenance man went and got a broom while your dad just kept an eye on where he travelled to.  The little guy moved very very fast.  Mr geiko gecko hid behind the curtain.  Our hero in the making caught him with the broom and he dropped.  Well at least his tail dropped.  So so gross.  That tail was twitching even though there was no body attached .  Couldn't believe it.  The tail was making a run for the door.  Would have rather he caught the top part!  He said not to worry because they shed their tails all the time.  We felt sorry for him in a way because all of the other geckos would laugh at him. We sang to him"it'll grow back, it'll grow back.  Gecko don't be mad because God and the rain will bring it back.

Sadly we never did see the rest of him but we hope he escaped outside with the rest of his friends.
