Home again

Home again home again jiggity jig.  We are now in the Amsterdam airport relaxing until we board the plane for Frankfort .  Oh the lessons air canada could take from Lufthansa .  Absolutely AMAZING service.  What a great airline!  Hopefully will find some pictures I haven't already posted.  

You know you're in trouble when the hotel gives free earplugs!  It wasn't so bad at all.  Fell asleep to a lot of noise,  had the alarm set for 4:30 am and believe it or not awoke at 4:29 am.  Pity that I had the clock set for the wrong time however!  That 24 hour time confused the heck out of me!  Nice, simple hotel.  What a great send off! 

Had a wonderful visit with dads cousin Lyanne.  Another Wietske Fokkelina!  Amazing that there are three of them!  Lena, Wilma, and Lyanne!

Visit with family Paiva

Went to visit my mothers sister and family.  They were very welcoming.  They remembered you all from when you were very little and they visited.

Samuel and family

Went to visit Samuel Levering this morning.  The only Levering boy.  The son of my mothers brother.  He was really interested in our family.  He said that he was going to make friend requests op de faceboek so if you see his name, you'll know who it is.  FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES!!!!! So, here are some more of Haarlem.  Beautiful city!

Haarlem

This is what we arrived to"...............scary!!!!!!!!

The door didn't open, this was the only entrance we saw.  Your dad dropped me off to find it.  So any one way streets, and they all look the same.  We put the Canadian flag in the window when we need patience while driving.  Every few minutes all I saw was this Canadian flag driving away from me !  It is so busy here because of the tulip parade.  CRAZY BUSY!!!!!  After about half an hour, which seemed like an eternity waiting on the corner for the flag to drive up, we finally we're back together once again! Together we searched for the entrance to the hotel.  It was a half a block away, on the other side of the building.  This is what we saw.

Much more welcoming, but no sign of Joops.  Stopped in this hotel and asked for directions to Joops. They told us, we'll you just check I here.  Ongelovelik!

We arrived at this Hotel and were a little leery, but more about that later when I have pictures of what we saw and what it really was.  Here your dad found his own little piece of adventure

Haarlem

So now we are in Haarlem.  Beautiful city.  We cancelled our previous hotel, very ugly city and now here we are in the heart of the city.  Only one problem.  The parade we chose charges by the minute.  I guess that is a sign of things to come.  Anyway the drive here was spectacular .  Enjoy the pictures.

Every field may seem to look the same.  It we saw a different kind of beauty in each one.  Man just could not do that on his own!

Keukenhof

Amazing today seeing all of the beautiful flowers.  Your dad was a bit overwhelmed by the smells of all of the flowers.  Not at the time but he is feeling it now.  Hope the pictures give you some idea of what it was like.  Completely breathtaking!

This was not Keukenhof but the nice bouquet your dad bought for me.  No he wasn't bad this time but it was nice nonetheless!
