Thursday

Looks like another day of the same story.  Still taking the winter coat off from time to time.  Dad actually got some sun on his arms yesterday.  Although it was for a very short time, he actually got some colour.  Checked the weather forecast last night and saw that the day before we go home should be a beautiful day.  Still hoping for the best but starting to get pretty disheartened.  Guess we'll have to make our own fun.

Dad is going golfing today.  Thank goodness it's not as windy as previous day's.  From where we sit we can see a tiny bit of the ocean.  The waves do not seem to be crashing as much as previous day's but I guess we'll find out shortly.

Had a great dinner last night at the Italian restaurant.  Right up dads alley.  His plate was so hot he could have burned himself on it.  Stayed hot to the last bite.  I am enjoying my share of seafood.  Eating some things I'm not sure what they are, but tasty none the less.

Dad is really enjoying the book about John who went to Afghanistan.  Remember that picture we had of a soldiers bunk with the Midway calendar hanging right beside his gun?  Well he wrote a book about his experiences.  Think I might crack that one today while he's golfing.  So exciting to read something by someone you know.  Gives a whole different light on the situation.  He writes very intelligently.  Might just have to have a dictionary beside the book.  I have read a couple of pages and that's my opinion so far.  Anyway off to see what the future holds for us today.
