Gouda with Ome Jan

Had a very exciting day seeing all of the sights with Ome Jan.  He took us all over Gouda and showed so much.  Some sights that I was familiar with and other sights that were very new to us but rich in History.  For this I am going to try post one picture at a time and try to tell you what was what.
This was the house of my grandparents.  Da costakade 29.  When I was a little girl and came to visit there was a Canadian flag flying from the flag pole
The school my mother attended.
At one time this was a Jewish temple.  Now there is a plaque there to commemorate that.
Ome jan.  Doesn't he look like uncle John?
goudas smallest street.  Smaller than a sidewalk.
Carriage house

Small castle.
If I understood this right, on the bottom floor cheese would be cut up.  On the second floor was the Red Cross, where my Opa worked and on the top floor was the Boy Scouts where Ome jan attended.
A section of housing used for widows.  They were very tiny, but there was a place just for them.
A tower with a clock that had only one hand.
