Well what a day!

Today was filled with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.  We started off by going by subway to the New York Hotel which was the leaving point for immigrants who went to Canada.  It was so absolutely amazing!  To think that so many years ago they left not knowing a whole lot of knowledge as to where they would land up.  Leaving family and possessions and going to a far off land not knowing if or when they could return.  There was one place that had very old bricks and we were thinking maybe they walked along those same bricks in 1952(?) or maybe 1951.  Regardless, that was a VERY long time ago.  The building is now a hotel.  We snooped around quite a bit seeing old suitcases, old pictures and memorabilia.  It was so amazing, words cannot describe it!  My parents came by plane, they are the only ones I have heard about who did that.
